I have my review at work today and it got me to thinking about this year in review. With 21 days left in this calendar year I have yet to successfully complete any of my New Year's resolutions... are those things good for rollover? I do feel however that 2011 was not completely a waste. Let's see:
- Moved to LA (that is 100 blogs in and of itself.)
- Started a new job. (Interested to hear my review: You do great at staring at the computer and editing your photos on your personal computer because we don't give you work.)
- Went to London, Scotland, and Ireland.
- Started my photography business.
- Gained a new sister and a nephew.
- Dealt with the passing of some really good friends.
- Had an ulcer.
- Had 2 crowns.
- ... ok, this is getting depressing.
I would say that 2011 has definitely had some good highlights and among them has been the relationships and friendships I have developed. My two favorite foreigners... Jan and Emma. I met Emma in Berlin in 2010 and Jan in Ireland in 2011. I love both of them for different reasons but point blank, I wish we were in the same country so we could hang out more. That is one thing I don't care for about LA. I don't have nearly as many friends as any other place that I have lived because who wants to get back in their car to go out and do things after it has taken you 1.5 hours to drive 6 miles home from work. I am however truly grateful for the people in my life. I love, love, love Cait the bestest friend ever, my girlfriends that I don't know what I would do without and I am going to get in trouble for the order I put them hahah (Jo, Carm, La, Marge, and Liana), and all the other amazing people in my life. As you get older you tend to realize who your real friends are, who you can not talk to every single day and still pick up where you left off, and who you never need to talk to again :) (People like Jerry from Starbucks.)
Thanks for being in my life and being my friend.
