Thief.

There is nothing more thrilling than the confirmation of your UPS package when you are expecting a shipment. I had tracked the package earlier in the day to see that it was delivered. Quiet skeptical and WHO my package was delivered to because I was at work the whole day, would be another question. After arriving home and noticing the package was not on my front door, nor was it with my apartment manager, I called UPS. The representative kindly told me that the driver left my package with the neighbor in apartment 106 and she apologized that he didn't leave a note (which he should have.)

Great! Apartment 106, I don't even know this person but perhaps this may prove to be convenient and I wont have to go track the package down at a UPS center. Michael was eating dinner and reading so I went to go knock on the neighbors door.

"Hi, UPS just informed me that they delivered my package to you and I just wanted to pick it up."

"Ohh, I don't have your package, I gave that to my mother, I thought it was hers."

"Ok, can you please call your mother?"

Lady leaves and comes back

"She didn't answer."

"Well, I really need that package, can you go get it from her?"

"No, I don't have a car."

"Ok, can you tell me where she lives so that I can go get my package?"

"She lives far."

"I really need that package tonight.  Is there a reason you gave her a package that had my name on it?"

"I signed my name though, they gave it to me."

After a few minutes of not coming back Michael came outside to see what was going on. Bless his little heart, he got quite mad.  We continued to ask her why she signed for a package that wasn't hers and she stated she signed for it with HER name.  UPS however had on their records that it was signed for by PRIEST, lying stinkers!

Michael continued to inform her that she had stolen our package and that if she didn't get it back we were going to have to call the cops. I think I said that a lot more composed and nicer than he did but you catch the drift. She slammed her door and said, "Fine, call the cops."

I sat on the phone with UPS for a good 20 minutes explaining to them my situation and telling them that they need to speak to the seller of my lighting equipment and pay for it to be at my door by Thursday. While in the process of speaking to a supervisor, since no one wanted to help with my missing package that THEIR driver delivered to the WRONG house, I hear a knock on the door. Michael answered and it was the neighbor with my package.

"Did your mom bring this back?"

"No"

"Oh, so you had our package the whole time and lied to us?"

"No, I didn't lie."

With that she walked to her apartment, we shut the door to mine and I inspected my lighting equipment to make sure it wasn't damaged. Welcome to Los Angeles where your package is our package.
